At Morphettville Veterinary Clinic we are  always happy to answer any questions our clients may have about their pet’s health.

How do I care for my new puppy? 

We recommend vaccinations at 6-8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks of age followed by annual booster vaccinations 

What do the vaccinations cover? 

The vaccinations cover Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Bordetella (kennel cough).

When should I worm my dog? 

Puppies should be treated for intestinal worms every two weeks until 12 weeks old, then wormed monthly until six months old and every three months thereafter.

What is the treatment for heartworm? 

We have various treatments for heartworm which include daily, monthly or annual treatments. Just ask our friendly staff for further information. 

When should my pet be desexed? 

We recommend desexing at six months old unless specifically advised otherwise by your veterinarian.
